Excellence in higher education is available locally at the University of Findlay, Bluffton College, Ohio Northern University, Owens Community College and Southern Ohio College. The University of Findlay and Owens Community College are well known for their innovative, individualized partnerships with private industry.

Major universities a short drive away include Bowling Green State University, the University of Toledo and Ohio State University.

Additionally, Findlay puts you within a day's drive of virtually any city between the Great Plains and the East Coast, as well as many major Canadian cities.
  • Highway travel is convenient via adjacent Interstate 75 and nearby 80-90.
  • Findlay is accessible from all directions via other main roadways such as US 224, US 68, SR 12, SR37, SR 568 and SR 15.
  • Air travel is accessible via Findlay Airport, a large, modern facility capable of handling many types of aircraft including large corporate jets and commercial aircraft. Additionally, national/international flights are offered at four major airports within an hour or two from Findlay. The Hancock Air Terminal serves Hancock County and the surrounding region.
  • Freight rail service is available via CSX and Norfolk & Southern.
  • Deep-water shipping is available for international businesses via nearby ports on Lake Erie.
